How did the delivery go? My experience with Purple was 100% positive, and I never felt like I was left hanging or in the dark. When the delivery day rolled around, the mattress was brought to our front door in a long vinyl tube, and my husband and I dragged it up the stairs together. It was heavy, but the tube had handles attached to each end that made the job easier.
What was the setup like? The mattress comes with a little paper card explaining the best way to unfurl it, which eased any concerns I had about un-packaging a heavy item the wrong way. I cut the vinyl tube open, removed the plastic wrap, and pulled the mattress onto our bed frame. I was surprised, given the heaviness of the mattress in the tube, that I was able to do this relatively easily without help. It took a few minutes for it to settle, but then it was good to go.
How firm is the mattress? Not firm at all, but it is a really surprising and effective blend of soft and supportive. In fact, the first time I sat on it, I was shocked at how squishy it felt. My toddler son even hopped on with me and immediately said, Bouncy! But then, when I lay down, I was surprised againI wasnt sinking into it the way I expected I would instead, I felt buoyant.
Would you recommend this mattress to a friend? Yes! I would recommend it most highly to someone who prefers a softer mattress and who sleeps hot.
