Clintonville Reaction To Store Plans

And as a real-estate agent, Clintonville Area Commissioner B.J. White said she appreciates the business success and drive of both Hanna and Lindell.

“I know that Mike Lindell is a recovering addict who’s pulled himself up and made a name for himself in a whirlwind business. And I can appreciate his marketing plan.”

White is not personally a fan of the Lindell pillow, however. A few years ago, she received one as a Christmas gift, carefully following the directions on how to fluff it properly before use.

“By 3 a.m., about the same time Mike Lindell’s infomercial comes on, I woke up and my pillow was flat,” she said. She has since put the pillow in a closet for use by guests.

White feels strongly that businesses should be given a chance, but also that consumers should know if the profits of those businesses support causes they may object to.

Hanna calls himself a conservative, “but not necessarily a Trump supporter.”

“I never even thought about politics when I started thinking about doing business with this company,” he said.

How Mypillow Project Came To Be

His connection began a few years ago with a phone call to the company.

“I said, ‘Hey, would you consider franchising?’ They said ‘No, we don’t want to get into that.’ “

But they agreed to allow him to set up a limited liability company. Hanna controls 56% of the company, his four partners 44%. They have already invested about $100,000. About $53,000 more will be necessary to be fully operating by the end of the year.

Hanna said he just wants a fair chance to succeed. And he doesn’t think business decisions, especially boycotting or pulling products is healthy for the economy.

“All these people shouldn’t be suffering and losing business because they are dead-set against the founder’s opinions.”

One of his partners, who declined to be named, said only “I have no political affiliation … they’re all crooks.”

Amazon Costco Not Among Major Retailers Shunning Mypillow And Its Trump

Amazon and Costco do not appear to be among the major U.S. retailers to have pulled MyPillow merchandise from their shelves in recent days over what MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has said is his support of former President Donald Trumps calls to overturn the presidential election.

As of Wednesday afternoon, MyPillows Amazon.com storefront was still active. While searches for MyPillow products on Costcos website returned no results, the website of the Issaquah-based warehouse club still listed a bevy of MyPillow promotional events taking place at Costco stores around the country including in Kirkland and Tacoma in January and February.

Amazon, based in Seattle, did not immediately respond to questions. A Costco executive declined to comment about the companys relationship with MyPillow.

Kohls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Wayfair and Texas-based H-E-B Grocery are among the retailers that have pledged to cut ties with Lindell after the businessman appeared to have lobbied Trump last week to impose martial law, according to a widely circulated photograph of Lindells notes for the meeting as he entered the White House.

The photo sparked an outcry on social media, with many people calling on retailers to dump MyPillow products and some Trump supporters saying they will boycott stores that cease to carry MyPillow.

Mypillow Products Are Still Being Sold By These Companies

MyPillow products are still being stocked by retailers such as and Costco after its CEO Mike Lindell said several companies had stopped selling its goods.

Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohl’s, H-E-B and Wayfair have all stopped stocking MyPillow amid the controversy surrounding Lindell’s support for former President Donald Trump.

Lindell continued to make false claims that Trump won the election, even after the Capitol riot on January 6, leading to calls for companies to drop the brand.

Last week, Lindell told Right Side Broadcasting Network’s Brian Glenn: “They’re trying to cancel me out. These guys don’t understand … they’re scared. Like Bed Bath & Beyond, they’re scared.”

However, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s both said they stopped stocking the brand because of poor sales, rather than for political reasons. MyPillow products are marked as “currently unavailable” on the Macy’s website, though the retailer has not commented on the reasons.

Other retailers will continue to stock MyPillow, including Costco. A spokesperson for Costco told SFGate: “We have contractual commitments to MyPillow that we intend to honor, as we seek to do with all of our suppliers.”

At the time of writing, MyPillow products are still appearing on retailers’ websites including Amazon, Walmart, CVS, Lowe’s, Home Depot and BJ’s Wholesale.

Newsweek has contacted Amazon, Walmart, CVS, Lowe’s, Home Depot, BJ’s Wholesale and Macy’s for comment.

But one of Hanna’s partners thought the trip up north was too long and scrapped the idea, so the MyPillow store will open in Franklin County, where Biden beat Trump, 65% to 34%

Lindell founded the Chaska, Minnesota-company in 2009, built largely upon infomercial advertising that airs during sleeping hours. A customer service representative said a few MyPillow products are sold in Walmart and Tractor Supply Co. stores but that other retailers are “boycotting” the products. Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls, Wayfair and other retailers have dropped MyPillow products.

About 30,000 cars a day will pass by the 2,100 square-foot Clintonville storefront at 4310 N. High St., near Henderson Road. Hanna said many of those motorists don’t live in the area and would likely support the brand anyway.

Everyone appreciates a good night’s sleep, he said.

More Than Just A Comfy Night’s Sleep

There was a time not long ago when mattress topper design was limited to the familiar egg crate foam layer or thin feather beds that did little more than make a mattress feel a bit softer. But the technology used to design and manufacture contemporary mattress toppers has advanced to the point where many of the most popular ones are made from memory foam, the innovative material that pillows and even entire mattresses are sometimes made from. This material helps significantly reduce tossing and turning and relieve pressure points by conforming to your preferred sleep position.

Besides being more durable than other similar products made of foam rubber or goose down, mattress toppers that are made from memory foam can provide the added benefit of helping people who suffer from back problems. In addition to conforming to your specific body shape and sleep positions to relieve pressure points, most memory foam mattress toppers feature open-cell construction that allows for even weight distribution. Not only that, but many also are designed with thousands of tiny ventilation holes which collectively optimize heat retention and help your body maintain its ideal temperature throughout the night.
