Unboxing And Overview Of Puffy
This is one of many new online mattress companies that ship their product in a box. A queen size currently retails for $850 which puts it at a comparable price to the leading online brands. It comes with a 101-night sleep trial where if you dont like it you can return it for a full refund. What does that mean? Well for starters, you dont need to put it back in the box and ship it back. Instead, the company will work with you to donate it or they will come to pick it up. Either way, its not a hassle.
Heres a picture of the box that my queen size mattress came in.
Once you get it out of the box you will find that it is wrapped in plastic. This protects it from all the elements it may get exposed to in delivery. Unboxing is easy. From here, just cut the plastic carefully and the mattress will slowly expand into shape.
Heres what the mattress looks like a few hours after opening. You can see the signature clouds stitched into the mattress ticking a very nice touch.
This mattress has a nice border around the front of the mattress with their logo. Although you arent going to notice this after you put sheets on the bed, it shows that they have put some thought into the looks of the bed and therefore put some thought into the feel as well.
Do Not Buy A Puffy Mattress
I purchased a puffy mattress back in July, and it was the greatest thing ever! I had slight pain the first 2 weeks but it quickly subsided. Starting back in early November, I started developing pain in my shoulders, back, stomach, and arms from sleeping on the mattress. By the next week it’d progressed quickly and become inhabitable at which point I contacted Puffy. They told me my warranty didn’t cover anything despite showing them a case of my uneven cover because the mattress supposedly didn’t show signs of sagging.
Could not go to sleep all-night today, and this was the last straw, I called Puffy and aired my grievances about my mattress issues, and their handling of it, while trying to contain my temper. The manager became very snarky, gave me attitude, and all but accused me of being a liar, at which point I let nearly 2 months of rage out, and let him have it.
This is absolutely ridiculous, you don’t and can’t know a mattress has no issues INSIDE the mattress merely by looking at some pictures. Very deliberately dishonest and unethical.
I believe they set these mattresses up so they break down just after the warranty trial is over.
