Reasonable Motion Isolation To Dampen Movements
When me and my partner slept in the DreamCloud at the same time, we didnt really feel each other moving around all that much certainly less so than in a regular spring mattress due to the foam comfort layer and the individually encased coils.
Unless one or both of you are very restless/very light sleepers, I wouldnt expect the DreamCloud to present many problems in terms of partner disturbance.
But if this is a concern for you, then I recommend that you buy the Puffy Lux Hybrid instead because movements are very difficult to feel in that mattress.

The DreamCloud is a hybrid mattress in a box with a nice medium-firm feel. I think this mattress is great for a variety of sleepers and was really impressed with its edge support, so it could be a great choice for couples. Can You Speed Up The Expansion Process
Aside from sleeping on the mattress before the manufacturer recommends it, there are a few other ways to speed up the expansion process:
- Turn Up the HeatIf your bedroom is notoriously cold at night, it may cause the memory foam to stiffen. This may delay the expansion time. For at least the first few days that you have the mattress, consider cranking the heat slightly. The mattress may expand faster in the higher temperature.

My Dreamcloud Bed Findings
This mattress feels wonderful. It is a hybrid mattress which means springs and foam but it is so much more. Every layer contributes to the overall feel. The quilted foam on the top layer really allows you to sink into the mattress without feeling like you are lying on a flat piece of foam.
You will also notice other quality details like handles stitched into the side of the mattress. This makes it easy to move and easy to rotate.
This mattress feels plush and supportive. This is hard to achieve but I think Dreamcloud pulled it off by quilting foam into the top layer and then adding springs underneath. This allows you to sink somewhat into the mattress before being lifted up again by the responsive foam and spring system.

Very Low Indentation Risk
I estimate that the risk of indents appearing in the surface of the DreamCloud mattress to be very low because when I lie on it and move, the materials bounce back to their original shape almost instantly.
Plus, the foams and springs are of good quality so I would expect the resiliency to last for several years.
However, if you weigh over 230 lbs then the relative chance of indents appearing increases due to the greater amount of pressure being placed on the materials over time.
So I would advise rotating the DreamCloud 180 degrees every 3 months to distribute the weight more evenly to guard against body impressions and indents.
Dreamcloud Mattress Unboxing And Off
The DreamCloud is a bed-in-a-box mattress and will have a 24-48 hour off-gassing and decompression period after its unpackaged. Personally, I thought the DreamCloud released a stronger-than-average off-gassing odor. If this is something youre worried about, Id recommend leaving your bedroom windows open and not putting sheets on your new bed for at least 24 hours. Any smell should dissipate after at most 72 hours.
