- Light Back SleepersI think light back sleepers will definitely enjoy the Nova Hybrid. Being lighter, you may experience the bed as more medium-firm than I did, but either way, it should give back sleepers great alignment. The Zoned Support will also offer some extra support at the hips and extra cushioning at the shoulders.
- Light Side Sleepers The Nova Hybrid could also work well for light side sleepers, again thanks to that Zoned Support. It also had great pressure relief when I laid on my side. Light sleepers might not get quite as much sinkage into the bed, but I think you should still be comfortable.
- Light Stomach SleepersThis mattress is probably too soft for stomach sleepers. If you only sleep on your stomach part of the night, you might be able to get away with it, since light sleepers may experience the firmness as slightly higher than average. Is A Spring Box Necessary For A Daybed
It just depends on the design of your daybed. If you have slats with no more than 4 inches between them, a low-profile spring box will not be necessary. However, if you have a wooden panel as support, flat wood panels over the slats, link springs or metal bars instead of slats, you may need to get a spring box to ensure the mattress has enough support, especially if you have a thicker memory foam or another expensive mattress.
How Far Apart Should Bed Slats Be
Bed slats too far apart will not support the mattress correctlythis is especially true with memory foam or latex mattresses since these beds can sag between wide gaps.
Typically, it is best to keep slats no more than 2.75 inches apart. This distance will provide adequate support and keep air circulating through the bed.

Box Springs And Foundations
While a mattress foundation can look similar to a box spring with its supportive frame, its a completely different product. They provide a solid surface with wooden slats or another sturdy material. The material does not flex under the mattresss weight, with closer spaced slats providing more support. Some foundations come with detachable legs, so that you can place them in a bed frame, much like you would with a traditional box spring.

If your mattress is resting on the correct foundation, that is all you need however, if you have a slatted foundation attached to your bed frame, you will not be able to separate the base from the framethe two must stay together.
