There are only three layers to the Allswell mattress. The bottom layer features individually-wrapped coils. These coils work on a variety of levels. Not only do they provide some airflow, which creates a cooling effect so youre not overheating at night, but they provide some firm support to your body and limit whats called motion transfer. If your partner gets up in the middle of the night, these coils will minimize the amount of movement that you feel so you wont be awakened. This bottom layer also has edge support on two sides that prevents you from falling off the bed if you move a lot at night.
The second layer is a charcoal and copper gel-infused memory foam. Copper and charcoal may seem like odd things to put into memory foam but when theyre added, they have properties that prevent the mattress from retaining heat, thus allowing for a cool night’s sleep.
