From experience, a platform top bed base is much better than a slatted bed base when using a Tempur mattress.
We used to have a rather nice solid wood frame bed. Here is our old bed, -There is our Tempur mattress just to the left of the bed.
We were totally happy with this bed and had used the Tempur mattress on it for about a year.
We originally bought this slatted wooden frame bed to use with a traditional sprung mattress.

I’ve had my mattress since 2009 and have really enjoyed sleeping on it.Fast forward to now: I was in a car accident nearly a month ago and have been getting treatment for very bad lower back and hip pain. I’m wondering if putting a Tempur-Pedic topper on my BellaSonna would help alleviate some of the pressure, like adding another comfort layer? I’m thinking this could work since the T-Flex latex coils add a lot of firmness that can support the topper. Only drawback is the mattress is already super thick, hope my sheets will still fit! Tempur Memory Beds With No Foundation
