Leesa Original Vs Studio By Leesa

Product
Couples On A Tight Budget
Couples Memory Foam Lovers

The Studio by Leesa is the least expensive mattress the brand offers. Its an all-foam mattress thats an inch thinner than the original Leesa. Both mattresses are medium-firm and show good motion isolation. However, our team felt that the Studio was somewhat lacking in pressure relief.

For budget shoppers, you cant beat the price of the Studio. Its lower price also makes it a great option for kids or young couples. Heavyweight sleepers should probably find a mattress firmer than either the Studio or original Leesa mattress, as they may sink in too deeply to sleep comfortably.

How Does The Leesa Mattress Feel

Because Leesa uses a combination of foams, overall, it has more of a neutral, classic foam feel. You wont experience that all-consuming memory foam feels like Tempurpedic. Leesa does use memory foam, but Leesa doesnt feel at all like a memory foam mattress.

Instead, it feels like a bed made of a general, soft foam. The top layer of Leesa is airy and light, almost like a marshmallow. This means you will never get that stuck-in-the-mud feeling with the Leesa mattress. You can effortlessly rotate between sleeping positions without feeling slowed down by the mattress.

To be honest, the Original Leesa feels bland and kind of boring, but we think thats a good thing, oddly enough. This is a highly accommodating, universally comfortable bed that few people will take a hard stance against. If you want a safe pick, the Original Leesa is the way to go.

Are You Going To Sleep Hot

The Leesa Studio mattress sleeps cool for a memory foam bed. Its breathable twill fabric cover facilitates airflow, keeping the surface of the mattress dry and cool. And with cooling foam technology, the Studio doesnt trap heat to the same degree as many memory foam mattresses.

However, the Leesa Studio does sleep hotter than most innerspring and hybrid mattresses, so it might not be the best option for those who sleep exceptionally hot. If you do sleep hot, hop over to our best mattress for hot sleepers page to see our top picks. Something like the SleepOvation 700 Tiny Mattresses In One, which has special air chambers between square foams, can give you a better temperature regulation.

Leesa Hybrid Mattress Review Verdict

Leesa Mattress

This is a well-made, comfortable and supportive mattress. If that sounds like what youre looking for, well then, the Leesa Hybrid could be the right bed for you. If you like coils and you like the idea of a soft foam feel, the Leesa Hybrid is that bed.

If, however, you want a soft bed and want a true memory foam feel, that is not the Leesa Hybrid mattresscheck out our list of the best memory foam mattresses. The bottom line is that this bed isnt cheap, but it is a good mattress and there is a large subset of people that will really like this mattress.

Leesa Mattress Sleeper Types

  • Side Sleeper

To cut to the chase, the Leesa Hybrid will work for side sleepers. In fact, in the past, the bed was firmer, but now that its between a medium and medium-firm, we think side sleepers will generally be happy with Leesa Hybrid. Its not as soft as Brentwood Oceano, but we do think most side sleepers will be just fine.

If youre on the petite side, however, you might want a softer mattress.

  • Back And Stomach Sleepers

We think the Leesa Hybrid is ideally suited for back and stomach sleepers. As mentioned above, its about a medium-firm mattress and provides plenty of support. We could see back and stomach sleepers raving about how much they like the mattress.

Generally, back and stomach sleepers prefer a firm mattress. This is to ensure that their hips dont sag down too much and put excess pressure on their low back. The Leesa Hybrid does a wonderful job of providing the support and firmness necessary for back and stomach sleepers.

The company prides itself on its love at first-night confidence and believes that all consumers will delight in the 100 nights. They offer such generous service to allow sleepers to embrace the elegance and genuine comfort of their new Leesa.

This 100 night, 100% risk-free, no-fee, full money-back trial affords consumers ample time to try out and experience the mattress.

If, however, for any reason, you find that after 30 days of the trial you are not satisfied with your mattress, then reach out to the customer service and they will promptly arrange pickup of your mattress and refund your money.

All returned mattresses are either recycled or donated to a charitable organization.

What Does The Leesa Mattress Feel Like

The Leesa mattress has a balanced feel thats a cross between the conforming feel of memory foam and the bouncy feel of latex. Old-school foam mattresses earned a bad rap for swallowing sleepers. Youd sink in, get stuck, and theyd have to send in a search party after you.

However, the foam in the top layer of the Leesa has a lot of bounce to it. It responds quickly to your movements, so youre able to move around without too much effort. Its soft to the touch at first, but you dont sink too much. It was comfortably hugging and contouring.

Is The Studio Mattress For You

Leesa Studio Mattress Review (2020) – Is It a Good Value?

The Leesa mattresses are some of the highest-scoring beds on Mattress Advisor. Leesas proprietary foam technology does an amazing job of bringing everything people love about memory foam and more. The Leesa Studio mattress is no exception. Its upper comfort layer is both plush and responsive. At the same time, the transition foam layer delivers contouring support, stopping you from sinking too far into the mattress.

Whats more, the Leesa Studio is their most affordable mattress. With a competitive price point, more consumers can afford to get a good nights sleep on a Leesa mattress. They also offer an affordable hybrid model for those that prefer those over all foam mattresses. Read our Leesa Original Hybrid mattress review to learn more.

But, if you are a stomach sleeper or a heavier sleeper, the Studio mattress is not the bed for you. Instead, we recommend the Loom & Leaf mattress.

What Is The Best Way To Care For The Leesa

The Leesa mattress is no flip. However, rotating it from head to toe at least 2-3 times per year will help minimize wear and tear of the mattress and will significantly reduce any chances of excessive sagging.

As for typical cleaning, the use of cool water and a mild dish detergent is all that is needed. If your mattress becomes dirty or even stained, just rub the surface gently with circular motions and never use any type of harsh chemicals on your mattress.

Sleeping On The Leesa Sapira Hybrid Mattress

In our experience, the Leesa Sapira Hybrid felt like a pleasant match for back sleeping. We enjoyed plenty of spinal support along with a touch of pressure relief for extra comfort.

We experienced a bit of pressure while side sleeping on the Leesa Sapira Hybrid, though it wasnt terribly uncomfortable. Lighter-weight sleepers will probably experience better pressure relief than our heavier-weight tester.

Our heavier-weight reviewer found that the Leesa Sapira Hybrid wasnt supportive enough for stomach sleeping. His hips bowed into the mattress, which created some strain in the lower back. Its possible that average- and lighter-weight sleepers might obtain more support in this position.

Leesas Sleep Trial Explained

Leesa Original Bed

There are some perks to buying an online mattress. One of the most important benefits is that most bed-in-a-box mattress brands have generous trial periods, and Leesa is no different.

You have 100 days from the day you receive your mattress to give it a test drive. If, after 30 days, you decide that the Leesa mattress isnt the right fit, you can return the bed for a full refund.

You may be wondering, why do you need to wait 30 days before returning the mattress? It all has to do with the properties of foam and the human body. Polyurethane foam takes time to reach its final feelyour body weight breaks in the foam. Your body also must adjust to a new bed. Thats why you should sleep on any new mattress for 30 days before deciding if you want to keep it or return it.

Does The Leesa Mattress Sleep Hot

The Leesa sleeps cool for an all-foam bed, earning an 8.5/10 for its cooling properties. The foam layers inside the Leesa promote airflow so your body heat doesnt get trapped inside the mattress.

However, if you are looking for the top mattress for hot sleepers, we recommend a hybrid or innerspring mattress like the Brooklyn Bedding Sedona. The coils provide better airflow and breathability than an all-foam model.

Lightweight Sleepers Under 130 Lbs

Lightweight back and side sleepers should enjoy plenty of pressure relief as well as adequate spinal support on the Leesa Sapira Hybrid. Folks who are light might obtain enough support while stomach sleeping as well.

The Leesa Sapira Hybrid is a supportive hybrid mattress that is a good fit for side sleepers.

I Sleep Hot Will I Like The Leesa Mattress

The Leesa Original mattress has a cooling foam on the top layer and we felt it slept temperature neutral. It did a good job of balancing our temperature and we didnt feel like we were hot waking up in the morning.

Leesa Studio Performance Highlights

Leesa Hybrid Mattress Review 2021 – Comfort for Side Sleepers?

Pros

  • Responsive: Its easy to move around on the Studio mattress. As we switched positions on the Studio, we felt it conform to our bodies rather quickly. This attribute makes the Leesa Studio a good fit for those who toss and turn at night.
  • Isolates Movement: Motion isolation is one of the trademarks of an all-foam mattress. Because foam does a good job at dampening motion, the Studio helps couples sleep together peacefully.
  • Supports Spinal Alignment: Thanks to the combination of a cloud-like comfort layer and a supportive, contouring transition layer, the Leesa helps to keep the spine in a neutral alignment.
  • Social Impact: Leesa is committed to making a difference, and they show this commitment in numerous ways. They donate one mattress for every 10 mattresses purchased to children in need, use recycled packaging, run on renewable energy, and use high-quality materials.

Cons

  • Off-Gassing: As with other memory foam mattresses, the Studio by Leesa has the tendency to off-gas for the first few days after being removed from the box. The odor isnt dangerous and will dissipate within three days.
  • Cooling: As a memory foam mattress, the Leesa Studio isnt the best cooling bed. Consider a hybrid or latex mattress like the Helix Midnight Mattress instead.
  • Bounce: Because the Leesa is a 100% foam mattress, it does not exhibit the same bounciness as do mattresses with innerspring coils. If you like a bouncy mattress, consider one of the Leesa Hybrid mattresses.

How Durable Is The All

The Leesa mattress is manufactured right here in the USA. Data available to us during our review indicated that the Leesa has a lifespan that is somewhat better than that of other memory foam mattress models.

Its 6 sense core support foam layer adds a great deal of strength, durability, and structure, providing a restorative and relaxing sleep for individuals of all sizes.

Our research performed and data reviewed suggests 80% owner satisfaction which is relatively equal to that of foam-based similar mattresses, but slightly better than that of other mattresses, including innerspring, memory foam, latex, air, and futons.

    Motion Transfer Extra Firm Side

Motion transfer was high on the Plank Firm extra firm side. Our accelerometer measured an acceleration range of 9.3 m/s².

This is notably more than the average across all of our tests to date, which is an acceleration range of 5.96 m/s².

    Max. Acceleration

The extra firm feel simply has very little room for energy absorption. As a result, that energy must be returned, and in this case, it results in more motion transfer on the mattress.

    Does Leesa Sleep Hot

Leesa Memory Foam Mattress Amazon Holiday Sale Deal

Thanks to its breathable foam layers and moisture-wicking cover, the Leesa mattress sleeps cooler than the average all-foam bed. But, its still a memory foam mattress which means its not ideally-suited for a hot sleeper. So, if you tend to sleep hot or need a little extra temperature regulation, you may want to consider the Leesa Hybrid or Legend. These two beds are built with temperature-regulating foams and layers of innerspring coils that allow body heat to flow through and away from the mattress.

Firmness And Feel Of The Leesa Mattress

We mentioned earlier that Leesa was made to order, this is important because it means your mattress will not be rolled up for long and will take less time to reshape than a mattress that has been rolled up for months. Mattresses that remain rolled up for longer than 2 months have a greater chance that they will not revert to their original shape. Now for the exciting part, testing it out!

Leesa has a soft plush feel with a medium support. The LSA200 foam is a fast response foam that provides immediate pressure relief. The second layer of memory foam works as a transition layer and further provides contouring around your body, supporting your curves. Overall, this has a great medium feel and we rate it around a 7 on the a firmness scale from 1 10, 10 being the firmest.

    Full Leesa Mattress Review

In this review, we are evaluating the Leesa memory foam mattress. A mattress expertly redesigned to create a genuinely plush feel, the Leesa feels every bit as good as it looks and is not only affordable but state of the art and appealing to many customers.

With its unique three layers of extreme comfort and its innovative support core, this medium firm mattress has earned its place on the charts as one of the most supportive and comfortable memory foam mattress models on the market today.

Offering consumers a very affordable price as well makes the Leesa a highly favored mattress by many.

Average weight back sleepers are going to feel good support and comfort when they are lying on the Leesa mattress. They will feel their bodies held up by the support layer while the top foams conform to the curves of their bodies.

Average weight side sleepers who weigh 200 lbs or less are going to get all the pressure relief they need. Those who are closer to 230 lbs might feel some more pressure on their shoulders and hips.

Stomach sleeping, average weight sleepers who are closer to 130 lbs should get enough support under their hips, but those who are closer to 230 lbs will need more support.
