Warranty
Posturepedic and Tempur-Pedic are quite similar with their manufacturer warranty. Another similarity is that youll have to double and triple check the warranty get with your purchase because it will be dependent upon the retailer you bought your bed from.
Edge Support
The coil edges on the Posturepedic Hybrid are probably a little bit better than the edge support on the TEMPUR-Flex. But it isnt such a notable difference that I would factor it into a purchasing decision. They both support you decently enough if you have to sleep on the edge of the bed.

Sealy and Tempurpedic are two of the leading mattress companies on the market. Interestingly enough, theyre owned by the same company. Though, they do have their notable differences, which we have highlighted below.
The biggest differences between the beds include:
- Price Sealy comes in at a significantly lower price tag than Tempurpedic. Sealys prices start at around $1,274 for a Twin XL and go up to $1,799 for a King. Tempurpedics ProAdapt model can range from $1,700 to over $6,000.

Depending on what kind of mattress you have, you can choose from several options. Mattress foundations and platform beds are compatible with all mattress types. These mattress bases both have rigid slat systems that offer sturdy support to every mattress. The only real difference between them is foundations are meant to go in a bed frame while platform beds can stand on their own.

Overall, Tempur-Pedic, with its all-foam and hybrid mattresses, has been at the top of my list as I often suffer aches from sleeping on my sides. However, those looking for cooling features must go for the mid to high range mattresses regardless of the brand.
A mattress is not a small investment, and doing some research on the features will help you have a restful sleep at night. Make sure to try out a few mattresses first. Once you do, narrow down your preferences, and settle on the best one for you.

Tempur Hybrid Model Comparison
The Tempur Hybrid utilises both micro springs and Tempurs foams to provide what they claim is a more responsive nights sleep. This is probably to mitigate against the incredibly slow reactions of memory foam which can be read about in more detail here.
The Hybrid range uses Precision microcoils which are trademarked. As with many retail mattresses manufactures there is zero detail on these springs making them impossible to review or compare to. We have written about the issues with boxed mattresses and springs in the past, the result is that they can only be stored for relatively short timespans, sometimes as short as 3 months before the spring units risk damage from contortion. Im sure Tempur ship their goods much faster than this, but worth bearing in mind!
The closest comparison we have to this model is the Origins Pocket Latex 1500, though not a like for like comparison. For example, our model features medium gauge pocket springs, 1.4 gauge and a 6cm Talalay Latex layer on top of a wool silk pad. So its not an exact comparison, latex being widely acknowledged as a far superior material compared to synthetic man mad foams. Our Origins Latex 1500 retails at £810 for a kingsize compared to Tempurs £3349 for the Hybrid Lux!
