Intellicoil Hd + Microcoils

The Lux Estate beds use the same Intellicoils, but they’re arranged differently. Instead of a standard grid pattern, they are offset, so more coils fit into the same place. The company calls this Intellicoil HD. Theoretically, with less space between coils, durability may improve since more coils are sharing the weight load. To compensate for what would also mean a much firmer bed with so many coils, Stearns & Foster makes these coils softer than those on the base-level Estate mattresses. Overall, though, the effect is still a firmer support than you’ll find on the Estate line.

The pillowtop versions have an additional layer of microcoils, only about 1″ tall, situated between the main pocket coil unit and the memory foam. It’s intended to give extra support and springiness.

As a general rule of thumb, Stearns & Foster mattress delivery times will depend on the retailer stock availability and delivery schedules. The model we used for the purposes of our review Kirkland Signatures Hope Bay was bought from Costco.

A common method of delivery for mattress retailers is whats known as a white glove delivery. This means that the mattress will be taken to the room its supposed to be set up in, placed on the bed frame, and then the packaging will be removed. However, because not all retailers will arrange the removal of the old mattress, buyers may still have to do some preparation before the delivery day.

Many mattresses come with a sleep trial period which is basically a satisfaction guarantee that allows buyers to try the mattress at home for a set time period during which the mattress can be returned. The specifics of these policies are ultimately at the discretion of the retailer.

In the case of the Hope Bay mattress, we found that the sleep trial period was 90 days. It should be noted, however, that Mattress-Reviews.com did not initiate the return process but instead spoke with customer service to receive an answer.
